At Collins Custom Cargo, our goal is to make purchasing a high-quality trailer easy and convenient, no matter where you are in the United States. Our professional delivery service is designed to bring your trailer directly to you safely and efficiently. To ensure a smooth and transparent process for everyone, please review our delivery policy below.
This is the most important step in the delivery process. Upon arrival, it is the customer’s duty to conduct a thorough inspection of the trailer with the driver present and before the driver leaves.
By signing the final Bill of Lading / delivery paperwork, you are formally accepting the trailer in its delivered condition and confirming that it is free of transit damage.
If any issues are discovered during this inspection, they must be noted on the delivery paperwork with the driver.
** Please Note: This checklist is provided as a guide to assist with your inspection and is not an exhaustive list. Your signature on the Bill of Lading signifies that you have performed a complete inspection and are accepting the trailer in its entirety—including all parts, components, and accessories—in its present, as-delivered condition.
Delivery Delays: We do our best to provide accurate delivery ETAs, but please understand that all dates are estimates. In the event of a significant delay outside of our control (due to severe weather, road closures, mechanical issues, or other “Acts of God”), your sales representative or driver will notify you immediately with an updated timeline. As these events are unavoidable, the delivery fee is not subject to reduction.
Site Accessibility & Safety: It is the customer’s responsibility to inform the driver of where they would like the trailer placed and to ensure the final delivery location is safe and accessible. If the driver determines the unloading zone is a safety hazard or risks damage to their equipment or your trailer (e.g., deep mud, steep inclines, narrow gates, low-hanging trees), the driver has the right to refuse unloading at that specific spot. In this event, the driver will ask you to meet at a nearby, safe, and accessible location for the handover. Under no circumstances can a handover occur on a motorway or interstate.
